Instant Pot Beef And Broccoli

Instant Pot Beef And Broccoli

I loved this! I added ginger to the sauce, which was a nice addition. I also put the steamed broccoli in the pot.

  • ⅔ cup water
  • 4 gloves garlic
  • ¼ cup hot water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • ⅓ cup soy sauce
  • 2 lbs beef (chuck roast or flank steak), cut into small pieces or thin strips
  • 1 lb broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 1-inch piece of fresh ginger (or 1 tsp ground ginger)

First, Ina food processor or blender, put the soy sauce, cup of water, brown sugar, garlic and ginger and mix until smooth (if you want to prepare it without a food processor chop garlic and ginger by hand and mix with soy sauce water and sugar in a cup).

Then, Put the slices of beef in the Instant Pot and pour in the soy sauce mixture. Mix with your hands to make sure all the beef is covered with the soy sauce mixture.

Close the Instant Pot lid and set the valve to a sealing position. Press the "Pressurized Bake" or "Manual" button and set the time to 10 minutes at high pressure.

When cooking beef, place the broccoli in a microwave-safe bowl and allow for microwaving at full power for 4 minutes if it is cool (or 5 minutes if frozen).

When the beef has finished cooking, quickly release the steam and open the lid of the Instant Pot.

On the instant pot, press the Skip button and set the time to 15 minutes.

In a cup, combine the cornstarch with ¼ cup hot water. Add the cornstarch mixture to the instant pot and mix until incorporated. The beef mixture will boil and the sauce will thicken gradually (about 3 minutes).

Stir in cooked broccoli with beef mixture and serve.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds for garnish (if any).
