Butter Swim Biscuits

Butter Swim Biscuits

This simple homemade recipe is ideal for you! The butter makes these biscuits soft and chewy on the within, with a crust on the surface. Add a touch jam or jelly, and you've got heaven.

INGREDIENT
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups buttermilk
1 stick of butter
4 teaspoons leaven
4 teaspoons of sugar
2 teaspoons of salt

Instructions
1.Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2. Combine all dry ingredients during a medium bowl.
3. Then add buttermilk and blend all the ingredients until it forms a moist paste.
4. Melt the butter during a microwave-safe bowl, then pour into an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish (make sure your skillet isn't too small or shallow therefore the butter doesn't drip into the pan during cooking).
5. Place the dough just above the melted butter and use a spatula to spread it evenly over the pan until it hits the edges.
6. Cut the raw dough (by this point it'll be submerged within the butter) into 9 squares.
7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
8. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner! These cookies are the right companion for any meal. I like better to eat it with raspberry jam
