EASY CINNAMON SUGAR APPLE CAKE
Apple Cinnamon Sugar Cake - a chewy cake crammed with juicy apples, topped with cinnamon and sugar. this is often truly a fall treat. I find fall truly inspiring, something sort of a break between summer and winter and therefore the holidays ahead.
1 1/2 cups cake flour
1 1/2 teaspoons leaven
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon, divided
1 1/3 cups sugar , divided
1/2 tablespoon cornstarch
4 cups peeled and diced apples (I used Gala)
3 large eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
3/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and funky to temperature
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 inch baking sheet with paper .
2.In a small plate, combine 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 1/3 cup of sugar. Set aside.
3.Combine the apple, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon and cornstarch during a medium dish. Set aside.
4.Combine the cake flour, leaven and salt during a medium plate. Set aside.
5.In a large plate, beat the eggs, sugar and vanilla on high until light and fluffy. Change speed to Low. Add half the flour mixture. Beat until well blended.
6.Add ½ melted butter, then the remaining cake flour mixture and eventually the opposite half melted butter. Stir within the apples. Distribute it evenly on the pan.
7.Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon mixture. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until a toothpick within the center comes out clean or with a touch crumb thereon .
8.Remove from oven and let cool for a couple of minutes on a baking sheet. Transfer to a wire rack to chill completely.
