awesome broccoli cheese soup


This easy, creamy, cheese broccoli soup is that the perfect cozy classic. the essential ingredients of a soft soup, a touch broccoli and carrots are perfect, and soft cheddar as a complement.

INGREDIENT
5 tablespoons butter, divided
1 small onion, chopped
3 garlic cloves, chopped
1 cup chopped broccoli (optional)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 and a half cups
2 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
2 to three cups broccoli florets, dig small pieces
1 large carrot, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon salt (approximately consistent with taste)
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon paprika
8 ounces of excellent quality extra sharp cheddar , grated

INSTRUCTIONS
1.In a large saucepan or casserole dish, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and broccoli sprigs; Saute until tender and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
2.Add the remaining 4 tablespoons of butter to the soup pot. When the butter is melted, add flour to the pan. Cook over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes, until the flour thickens. Pour half and half milk slowly while continuing to stir. (It will start out thick but eventually thin out and appearance sort of a soft soup base.) still thin it out, gently stirring the stock. Simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to reintroduce any skin which will have formed.
3.When the soup base thickens, add the broccoli, carrots and seasonings. bring back a boil, about 10 minutes, until the broccoli pieces are bright green and therefore the fork is tender.
4.Transfer the pan to the warmth and let it cool slightly for a couple of minutes. Add most of the cheese until melted. Serve it during a bowl with a touch extra cheese + a slice of dry bread to dip - and yes, it's okay to cry out for joy! It's such an excellent time!
