Basic Yellow Cake Recipe


This is the simplest basic yellow cake recipe! It's perfect for layered cakes, sheet cakes, or cupcakes! This easy cake recipe is homemade - you will not need to buy more canned cake mixes.

INGREDIENT
FOR CAKE:
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons of leaven
2 1/2 cups (310 g) all-purpose flour
1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 cups (297 g) sugar
4 large eggs
1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla
1 1/4 cups (296) ml buttermilk
FOR ICING:
1 cup (227 g) unsalted butter, softened
4 cups (452 g) granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla
2-3 tablespoons (30-45 ml) heavy light whipping cream

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR CAKE:
1.Preheat oven to 350 ° F. Prepare a cupcake pan with a liner greased and dusted with flour or a cake pan.
2.Beat salt, leaven and flour during a medium bowl. Set aside.
3.Using a hand mixer, beat the sugar into the melted butter until smooth. Add the eggs one by one, then add the vanilla .
4.Add the dry ingredients alternately with the buttermilk, starting and ending with flour, stirring gently between each additions. Stir until combined. confirm to scrape the edges of the bowl.
Pour batter into prepared molds and bake consistent with directions. Let it cool completely before removing and freezing.
5.Baking time: 24 cupcakes: 14-17 minutes // Two 9 inch round molds: 24-27 minutes // Two 8 inch round molds: 25-33 minutes // One 9 × 13 inch mold: 30-40 minutes

FOR ICING:
6.Beat butter until smooth employing a hand mixer or stand mixer. Note: If employing a hand mixer, make certain to use a really large bowl to stop the granulated sugar from spoiling.
