BROCCOLI CHEESE BALLS
Crispy Broccoli Balls on the surface with 3 sorts of sticky process cheese and fresh broccoli on the within . Make an excellent alcoholic drink!
1 1/2 cups fresh broccoli florets
1 cup grated Colby cheese
1 cup grated cheddar
4 ounces of velveeta, dig small pieces
1/2 teaspoon ground red chili flakes
2 1/4 cups Panko breadcrumbs, divided
1 egg, beat off
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, lightly beaten
Vegetable or vegetable oil
1.Steam the broccoli until it's soft. Chill.
2.Finely chop the broccoli. you would like the chunks to be 1/4 inch or less. Place during a large bowl.
3.Add cheese, red pepper flakes, 1/4 cup of Panko breadcrumbs and 1 egg during a bowl of broccoli. Mix it well.
4.Use your hands to shape the dough into a ball, using about one round tablespoon for every ball. you want to be 12-14 years old.
5.Put the balls on a plate and chill for a minimum of half-hour .
6.Put the flour during a bowl.
7.Place 2 lightly beaten eggs during a second bowl and blend in 1 tablespoon of water.
8.Place the remaining 2 cups of Panko breadcrumbs within the third bowl.
9.Pour about 2 inches of oil into a casserole pot or heavy saucepan. Heat the oil to 375 degrees. For best results, use a thermometer.
10.Remove the broccoli balls from the fridge, coat them with flour, dip within the egg mixture, then coat with Panko breadcrumbs.
11.Fry about 4 balls at a time until all sides are golden brown.
12.Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
