Homemade Traditional Turkish Delight

This easy Turkish delight recipe is colorful, delicious, and better than store-bought!


  • 25 g icing sugar
  • 1 lemon ,, juice only
  • 2-3 teaspoons of rose water
  • 25 g of gelatin powder 
  • 100 g of cornstarch
  • 375g 375g caster sugar
  • Red / pink food coloring
  • Essential equipment
  • 8 '' Square Silicone Baking Dish


First, add 300 ml of water, sugar and lemon juice to a saucepan over low heat. Stir to dissolve the sugar then increase the heat and bring to a boil.

Then, combine 200 ml of water, gelatin and 75 g of cornstarch in a small bowl or jug and add them to the pot. Stir continuously until the gelatin is dissolved.

Simmer for about 20 minutes until it becomes a very thick wallpaper paste, almost like a consistency.

Remove from the heat and cool. (About 20-30 minutes) Then mix the rose water and food coloring.

Combine the rest of the cornstarch and the icing sugar in a bowl. Then oil the silicone pan and sprinkle it with the flour mixture. Tap on the excess.

Pour in the Turkish delight and let stand 4 hours.

Once set, remove it from the pan and cut it into 20 pieces. Coat each piece with the remaining flour mixture before storing in an airtight container. To consume within 1 week. Happy Cooking Time.
