Lemon Garlic Baked Tilapia








This lemon and spicy garlic tilapia is one of the best tilapia recipes you can make at home. It takes 5 minutes of preparation time before putting it in the oven. Serve with sautéed vegetables and steamed rice for a hearty meal.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 tilapia fillets (6 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh parsley
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice, or more, to taste
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

DIRECTIONS:

First, preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly oil a 9 × 13 baking dish or coat with nonstick spray.

Then, in a small bowl, whisk together the butter, garlic, lemon juice and lemon zest; put aside.

Season the tilapia with salt and pepper to taste and place on the prepared baking dish. Drizzle with the butter mixture.

Place in the oven and cook until the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 10 to 12 minutes.

Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.
