Oven Baked Chili Cheese Dogs
This baked chili dog recipe is so delicious and would be a great idea for a summer potluck or game day meal. They are a delicious alternative to regular hot dogs!
- 1 box of prefabricated Chili
- 2 tbsp. chives, to garnish
- 1½ tsp. grated cheddar, divided
- 1 baguette
- 3-4 hot dogs, depending on the length of your baguette
First, preheat the oven to 375 °.
Then, along the length of the wand, cut a small “v” and remove part of the inside of the wand, creating a boat.
Sprinkle 1 cup of cheddar cheese on the bottom of the baguette, then place the hot dogs end to end until the baguette is filled. (This could mean cutting a hot dog to fit, depending on the size of your bun.)
Divide the chili over the hot dogs and top with the remaining cheddar cheese. Bake in the preheated oven until heated through and tender, about 25 minutes.
Let cool slightly, then slice into 3-inch-long segments and garnish with chives. Happy Cooking Time.
