Sweet and Spicy Baked Cauliflower
Keep it simple with these oven baked side dishes. The cauliflower florets are mixed with an irresistible sweet and spicy seasoning and grilled until tender.
4 cups cauliflower florets
2 tablespoons syrup
2 tablespoons sriracha
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1/2 tablespoon tamari or soy
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1.Preheat oven to 400 °. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2.In a large bowl (or Ziplock bag) combine the cauliflower and other ingredients - syrup , sriracha, olive oil, tamari and pepper. Stir until the cauliflower is well coated.
3.Pour the cauliflower on a baking sheet and place within the oven. confirm you allow "room" for the cauliflower. If the pan is just too full, the cauliflower is "overcooked" and not cooked properly. If necessary, divide into 2 pans.
4.Bake for half-hour or until the cauliflower is tender.
I recommend serving it on a bed of quinoa or steamed rice.
You can easily include other vegetables with or in situ of cauliflower.
