Christmas Cranberry Brie Puff
The perfect quick and straightforward opener for Christmas! Puff pastry stars topped with brie cheese and cranberry sauce!
INGREDIENT
14 ounces of ready-to-use puff pastry
1 egg
6 ounces of brie
½ cup condiment
Fresh thyme, optional for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Preheat oven to 360F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
2.Spread the puff pastry sheet over the floured surface
3.Use the star cake cutter to chop individual pastry stars
4.Place half the batter star on the baking sheet
5.Using a beaten egg, spread a skinny layer of prod top of the cake star
6.Garnish with another star puff pastry then repeat by spreading a skinny layer of egg over the crust
7.Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the celebs are expanded and golden
8.Remove the puff pastry star from the oven
9.Cut small slices of brie and place on each star of the pastry and return to the oven for 1 to 2 minutes to melt and simmer the brie.
10.Remove the puff pastry star from the oven and place it on a plate
11.Pour a touch condiment over the brie cheese and a couple of fresh thyme leaves
12Serve immediately
NOTE
They are best straight out of the oven, but if you would like to maneuver on, you'll bake, cool, cover, and store the puff pastry stars without the brie and cranberries for subsequent day or two. Then put it within the oven for 2-3 minutes to preheat it before adding the brie.
