Spicy Mushroom Rice Recipe
Meet your new favorite mushroom recipe! Rice infused with the flavor of earthy mushroom mixed with caramelized mushrooms, this mushroom rice is worthy of a meal on its own.
- 1 shallot, sliced
- 2 tablespoon of butter
- 4 cup cooked white rice
- 1/4 cup marsala wine
- 1 teaspoon of kosher salt
- 1 jalapeño pepper, diced
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 10 ounces of white or button mushrooms, sliced
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
First, start by melting the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Then, add the sliced mushrooms and leave to brown, stirring for 10 minutes.
Add the shallot, jalapeño, salt and pepper and cook for another minute or two.
Deglaze the pan with the marsala and let reduce for 2 minutes.
Add the soy sauce and stir, then add the cooked rice.
Toss and season with more salt and pepper to taste if needed.
