BACON PIEROGI BAKE






Pierogi cooked in a creamy sauce, then garnished with cheese, bacon and green onions.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2-3 oz of cream cheese
  • 16 oz pierogi stuffed with potatoes
  • 3-4 slices of bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tsp ranch dressing seasoning
  • sliced green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

First, place frozen pierogi in a single layer in a casserole dish.

Then, add cream cheese, broth and ranch seasoning to a medium saucepan, heat over medium heat. Whisk the two together, stirring often, until fully incorporated and the sauce is smooth. Pour it evenly over the pierogi.

Sprinkle grated cheddar and bacon evenly on top of sauce-laden pierogi.

Bake the dish at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and the pierogi are cooked through.

Garnish the casserole dish with green onions before serving.
