Christmas White Chocolate is a super easy, super cute, and super tasty Christmas treat. They are perfect for a fun little gift or for a Christmas party in the classroom (or anywhere)!

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick), melted
  • 1 cup of white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt, or to taste

  • 1 1/2 cup icing sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt, or to taste
  • about 1/2 white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 6 ounces of cream cheese, softened (okay)
  • 1/4 cup (half a stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • about 3 to 4 tablespoons of red and green or holiday glitter

First, preheat the oven to 350F. Line 8x8-inch pan with foil, spray with cooking spray; put aside.

Then, in a large microwave-safe bowl, add the butter and melt, about 1 minute on high power.

Wait a moment before adding the egg so as not to scramble it. Add the egg, brown sugar, vanilla and whisk until smooth.

Add the flour, salt and stir until combined, do not over mix.

Add the white chocolate chips and toss to combine.

Return the dough to the prepared pan, lightly smoothing the top with a spatula if necessary. Bake for about 20 to 22 minutes, or until top is placed in the center and cooked through; do not overcook. Blondes firm up as they cool down. A toothpick should come out clean, or with a few damp crumbs, but no paste.

Place pan on wire rack to cool completely before frosting.

Use store-bought frosting OR in large bowl, add cream cheese, butter and beat with electric hand mixer until smooth.

Add the icing sugar, vanilla, salt and beat to incorporate and until the icing is smooth.

Distribute the icing evenly over the bars.

Sprinkle white chocolate chips evenly and sprinkle before slicing and serving. Happy Cooking Time.

Frosting: You can also use store-bought 14 ounce whipped cream cheese frosting instead.
