- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, divided
- 1 1/2 lbs of sautéed beef
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 4 cups of peanut or canola oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 teaspoons of sesame oil
- 1 orange
- 3 tablespoons of molasses
- 2 teaspoons of grated ginger
First, combine the beef strips and 1 Tbsp. Soy sauce in a large bowl. Stir to combine. Toss the cornstarch with the salt and pepper, then evenly coat the beef strips.
Then, place the cable tray inside the baking sheet. Put the coated beef strips on the grill and place them in the freezer for 30 minutes.
While the beef is in the freezer, combine the orange zest, 1/2 cup of orange juice, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, molasses, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic , ginger and mash red pepper in medium bowl. Whisk to combine. Put aside.
Heat the oil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat. Once hot (about 375 degrees), add 1/3 of the beef strips. Bake 3 to 5 minutes or until golden brown and crisp. Remove and place on absorbent paper. Working in batches, repeat with the remaining beef strips.
Add the sauce to a large skillet and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and serve over cooked beef. Happy Cooking Time.
