Egg Nog Fudge

Egg Nog Fudge

Eggnog fondant is a decadent, rich and creamy Christmas treat and so easy to make, you can make it in a snap.

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of rum extract
  • 2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 12 oz white chocolate, chopped (I do not recommend chocolate chips)
  • 3/4 cup eggnog, not reduced in fat
  • Cream of marshmallow in 7 oz jar

First, line an 8 x 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.

Then, in a large bowl, place the chopped white chocolate.

In a medium skillet over medium heat, melt together the butter, sugar and eggnog.

Bring the mixture to a gentle boil while stirring constantly to avoid burning until it reaches 234F degrees with a candy thermometer. (About 8 to 10 minutes of boiling).

Remove from the heat and let cool slightly.

Pour the eggnog mixture over the chopped chocolate and stir until the chocolate is gently melted.

Then using an electric mixer, incorporate the nutmeg, rum extract and marshmallow cream.

Pour into prepared saucepan and refrigerate for 4 hours.

Happy Cooking time.
