Steak with Gravy
Enjoy a plate of delicious steaks with gravy, fluffy beef patties with hidden cauliflower with delicious mushroom and onion sauce.
INGREDIENTS
500g / 17.5oz hamburger (ground)
1 cup leftover roast
1/2 teaspoon Worcester sauce
1 tablespoon ingredient
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
200g / 7oz of mushrooms
fresh chopped parsley
cooking oil spray
salt and black pepper
For the sauce:
300g / 10.5oz of shallots
2 garlic cloves, puree
1 tablespoon ingredient
2 cups (480 mL) beef broth (or stock)
2 cups (480 mL) chicken broth (or stock)
pinch of thyme
1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
cooking oil spray
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Spray the saucepan over medium-high heat with a touch vegetable oil .
2.Add the onions and saute until soft
3.Add the garlic and sauté for a moment .
4.Add the balsamic vinegar and a touch beef broth , then reduce it to caramelize the onions.
5.Add ingredient , thyme and remaining beef and chicken broth , bring back a boil, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.
6.When the sauce boils, add hamburger , cauliflower, Worcester sauce , ingredient , shallot powder, garlic powder, salt and black pepper, mix well, then form 4 equal sized buns. (oval).
7.Spray an outsized skillet over medium-high heat with vegetable oil spray, add bread and lightweight brown on all sides , remove from heat and put aside .
8.After the sauce has simmered for 20 minutes, add it to the blender and stir until smooth.
9.Spray the frypan again with vegetable oil spray, add mushrooms and saute until brownish.
10.Then add the sauce. Carefully place the Salisbury steak into the sauce and simmer within the sauce for about 10 minutes until cooked and therefore the sauce is reduced and thickened.
11.Serve with a sprinkling of chopped fresh parsley and season as required with salt and black pepper.
