Sticky Ginger Soy Chicken Niblets

Sticky Ginger Soy Chicken Niblets

Niblets Chicken with Ginger and Sticky Soy Chicken features and a simple marinade that turns into a sticky and delicious frosting.

  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of corn flour
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 kg of chicken niblets
  • 3 tablespoons of black soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon minced garlic

For garnish:

  • spring onions, thinly sliced
  • Sesame seeds

First, add all the ingredients to a mixing bowl with the chicken niblets. Note that if you substitute dark soy sauce for light soy sauce, you may want to use a little less, as light soy sauce is saltier than dark soy sauce. Marinate the niblets for at least 30 minutes.

Then, fry the niblets in a hot pan with a little cooking oil; fry uncovered for 3-4 minutes per side, then cover and cook completely to medium over medium / low heat for another 8-10 minutes.

When you cook the covered niblets you will notice that they release liquid, uncover them and continue to fry until the liquid decreases slightly. Add a little water if the bottom of the pan is sticky after frying the wings, use the water to loosen any caramelized pieces in the pan. Also add the remaining marinade and let the juice reduce until slightly thick and sticky, then remove from the heat.

Place the niblets in a bowl, reserve the juice in a dipping dish and use as a dip. Garnish the niblets with finely chopped green onions and sesame seeds (grill them first if you want a golden color). Happy Cooking Time.
