Classic Green Bean Casserole

This classic green bean casserole is made with cream of mushroom soup, green beans, cheese, crispy fried onions and comes together in about 10 minutes! Such a simple classic that hits our table at Thanksgiving and Christmas every year!

  • ½ cup of milk
  • 1 ½ cup crispy fried onions
  • ½ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 cup of optional sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 10 ½ ounces of cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 cups thawed frozen cut green beans
  • ¼ teaspoon seasoning salt or to taste

First, preheat the oven to 350 ° F.

Then, if you are using fresh or frozen green beans, boil until tender and crisp.

Combine soup, milk, soy sauce, pepper, green beans, 1 cup onions and cheese (if using) in a saucepan.

Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes or bubble.

Remove from the oven and stir. Top with remaining onions and return to oven for an additional 10 minutes or until golden brown.

Happy Cooking Time.
