 Frangipane Mince Pies



The best chopped pie is that the chopped frangipani pie with a simple homemade cake - serve hot or cold for a delicious traditional Christmas treat.


INGREDIENT

240g all-purpose flour, plus extra for rolling

▢3 tablespoons powdered sugar

125 g unsalted butter, cooled and diced

▢ finely grated orange

▢1 medium egg

For Frangipane:

▢90 g unsalted butter, softened

▢100 g powdered gold sugar (or use very fine)

▢1 large egg

▢½ teaspoon flavorer

▢90 g ground almonds (almond flour)

Too:

▢ 410 g jar of minced meat

▢5 tablespoons of almond slices

▢ 2 tablespoons powdered sugar


INSTRUCTIONS

1.Prepare the dough beforehand - Put the flour, powdered sugar and butter during a kitchen appliance and blend until smooth crumbs form. Add the orange rind and egg, stir again until combined (add a couple of drops of cold water if it's still too brittle to combine).

2.Place the dough on a sheet of parchment paper that has been dusted with flour. Crush them together to make a ball, then roll up to ¼ inch thick with a floured kitchen utensil .

3.Refrigerate for 30-60 minutes (cover with cling film if refrigerated longer - up to 2 days).

4.When the dough cools, make frangipani. Place the butter and sugar during a large bowl and beat with a wooden spoon or hand mixer for a couple of minutes - until they're pale. Add the eggs and flavorer until blended, then add the bottom almonds. Put it within the refrigerator until you're able to use it.

5.Preheat oven to 190C / 375F

6.Once the dough has cooled, dig the circles using an 8 cm / 3 "fluted kitchen utensil . Reload the dough if necessary. you'll have 18 to twenty circles. Press each bit of dough carefully into the 12-hole cake pan (fairy cake pan regular - not a muffin pan.) you'll need two trays.

7.Fill each pastry hole with a tablespoon of hamburger , then sprinkle with a tablespoon of frangipani and spread the highest (it will opened up when roasting, so you do not need an excessive amount of clean). confirm you do not cover an excessive amount of frangipani, because it'll overflow. Sprinkle with almond flakes and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

8.Remove from oven and let cool before passing through the sieve over a touch powdered sugar , then serve.
