Nutella Cream Puffs
Whipped cream with chocolate and hazelnuts in a light and crispy dough. These Nutella cream puffs are deceptively easy. They look so fancy, but the filling only has two ingredients! Prepare this dessert for your next party or brunch and watch your friends inhale them.
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup of flour
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup of water
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- 3/4 cup Nutella or other chocolate hazelnut spread
First, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Then, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
Combine the water, butter and salt in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Add the flour quickly and whisk to combine. Stir until the mixture forms a ball and comes together.
Remove from the heat and let cool for 10 minutes.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well with a wooden spoon after each addition.
Using a pastry bag fitted with a large tip, or an old-fashioned spoon, garnish the flour mixture in 12 portions on the baking sheet, leaving 2 "between each. Bake in oven for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.Place on a wire rack to cool completely.
Meanwhile, in the bowl of your stand mixer fitted with the whisk, whip the cream on medium to medium high speed until soft peaks form.
Add Nutella and stir to combine. Scrape the sides as needed.
Gently cut the tops of the cream puffs and fill with Nutella cream.
Happy Cooking Time.
