 Gyudon Japanese Beef Bowls

Gyudon may be a Japanese nutriment restaurant. this is often a really tasty and high protein bowl of Japanese beef. Thin slices of beef flavored with soy , served over steamed rice. I'll share my quick and straightforward gyudon recipe.


▢150 g hamburger

▢ 1/2 onion

▢1 tablespoon pickled Alpinia purpurata for garnish

1/4 tablespoon scallion sliced diagonally for garnish

▢3 cups Japanese rice * 1

▢ 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil


▢200 ml of water

▢1 teaspoon of dashi powder

▢2 teaspoon sugar

▢1 tablespoon sake

▢1 tablespoon of mirin

▢ 1 teaspoon of ginger juice

▢2 tablespoons of soy


1.Cut the onion into quarters.

2.Heat vegetable oil during a saucepan over medium heat and cook the onions.

3.Once the onions are translucent, add all the ingredients to form a sauce.

4.Boil and add minced meat and cook for five minutes on medium heat.

5.After the meat is cooked and therefore the sauce has reduced slightly, remove it.

6.Serve over a bowl of rice and garnish with chives and pickled Alpinia purpurata
