Mushroom Mustard Beef may be a simple dish that's processed, hamburger , mushrooms with a thick beef sauce so it's delicious served with a spread of various sides.


1 lb (455 g) of additional lean hamburger

225g / 8oz small Portobello mushrooms (or chestnut mushrooms)

2 red onions, thinly sliced

2 garlic cloves, puree

480 ml / 2 cups beef broth / broth (I use low sodium)

1 tablespoon ancient mustard (1.5 syn)

1 tablespoon arrowroot flour (or cornstarch or tapioca flour) (1.5 syns)

sprinkle with thyme

1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar

2 tablespoons tomato puree

salt and pepper to flavor

chop fresh Italian parsley to serve


1.Add hamburger to skillet over medium heat and brown. Transfer to a different plate and put aside .

2.Spray a frypan with oil.

3.Add onion and garlic, cook until soft.

4.Add the mushrooms and a touch beef broth and continue cooking until the onions and mushrooms caramelize well. still add more stock if necessary.

5.Return the minced meat to the skillet, with a pinch of thyme, tomato puree, balsamic vinegar, mustard, remaining stock, salt and pepper to season.

6.Mix the cornstarch with a couple of teaspoons of water and increase the saucepan (this will thicken the sauce).

7.Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 20 minutes

8.Serve with a sprinkling of parsley and a entremots of your choice.
