EASY TUNA PATTIES
These simple tuna patties are tons like burgers, apart from hamburger , they're made with a mix of tuna, breadcrumbs, and egg. Perfect for light and healthy meals!
INGREDIENTS
3 eggs
1 teaspoon of juice
3 tablespoons grated parmesan
3/4 cup seasoned Italian breadcrumbs
1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
4 5 ounces of canned albacore tuna, drained
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/8 cup finely chopped onions
1/4 cup celery, finely diced
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon dill
3-4 tablespoons of oil
INSTRUCTIONS
1.Beat egg and juice during a bowl. In another bowl, combine parmesan, breadcrumbs, Old Bay, tuna, mustard, shallot, celery, black pepper and dill. Pour within the egg / lemon mixture.
2.Form the tuna mixture into about eight 1-inch thick loaves. NOTE: If you've got time, it's best to refrigerate the bread for a minimum of an hour. this may help them stay together better when frying. However, this is often not a compulsory step.
3.Heat the oil during a skillet over medium heat. Fry the bread until golden, about 5 minutes per side.
