 Vanilla Custard Slice

Vanilla pudding slices - a delicious, sweet, creamy and really simple dessert! A slice of pudding is certainly the primary bite!


2 pieces of store bought puff pastry, thawed

For pudding:

8 cups of milk

2 cups sugar

2½ cups all-purpose flour

4 eggs

3 teaspoons vanilla

½ cup castor sugar for dusting


1.Preheat oven to 180 ° C (350 ° F).

2.Place the dough sheet on two rectangular pans lined with nonstick parchment paper and pierce the whole dough with a fork, but not completely over the dough. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until fluffy and golden. Remove from oven and let cool. the whole dough sheet is dig shapes to suit a 9x13 inch rectangular pan and therefore the second sheet of dough is dig squares (about 12), which can form the highest of the cake.

For pudding:

8.Pour the pastry cream over the dough within the rectangular mold that has been prepared measuring 9 x 13 inches, slowly place the remainder of the pastry sheet on top of the vanilla cream layer.

9.Refrigerate for a minimum of 3-4 hours or until set.

10.Sprinkle with granulated sugar before serving.
