Bang Bang Shrimp


 Bang Bang Shrimp



Crispy panko prawns covered during a soft and spicy bang bang sauce - I'll show you ways to form these grilled OR fried shrimp!


INGREDIENT

Crispy Shrimp:

▢225 g (8 oz) giant prawns - shell removed and shrimp cleaned

▢2 tablespoons cornstarch - cornstarch

120 ml (½ cup) butter milk

▢1 egg

▢150 g (3 cups) of panko breadcrumbs

▢1 teaspoon paprika

▢½ teaspoon salt

▢½ teaspoon black pepper

▢½ teaspoon flavorer

▢½ teaspoon flavorer

▢¼ teaspoon white pepper

▢120 ml (½ cup) sunflower-seed oil

Bang Bang Sauce:

▢120 ml (½ cup) mayonnaise

▢ 2 tablespoons of sweet condiment

▢1 tablespoon Sriracha condiment

▢1 teaspoon honey

Serve:

▢1 romaine lettuce - grated

▢2 scallion - chopped scallion

▢1 teaspoon dried chili flakes or 1 fresh red chili - thinly sliced


INSTRUCTIONS

1.Start by making bang bang sauce. Put the mayonnaise, sweet Poivrade , sriracha and honey during a small bowl and stir, then put aside while preparing the crunchy prawns / prawns.

2.Pat the king prawns dry with tissue or paper.

3.Place the cornstarch during a bowl.

4.Place the buttermilk and eggs during a second bowl and beat gently to mix .

5.Place panko, paprika, salt, pepper, flavorer , flavorer and white pepper during a third bowl and blend .

6.Dip the king prawn within the cornstarch, then dip it within the buttermilk mixture until coated and eventually coat the shrimp within the panko mixture. Place the coated shrimp on a plate.

7.Heat the oil during a large skillet over medium-high heat.

8.After the recent oil, add the shrimp.

9.Cook, 3-4 minutes, turning once, until golden brown. Then remove from the pan and place on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up excess fat.

10.Place the grated romaine on a serving plate, garnish with crunchy shrimp / prawns and sprinkle with 3 tablespoons of bang bang sauce.

11.Sprinkle with chopped scallions and chili flakes and serve.
