CHICKEN SHAWARMA RECIPES
Super easy chicken shawarma. Mediterranean-inspired dishes are loaded with plenty of spices and baked until they're golden!
1 1/2 pounds boneless and skinless chicken thighs
4 tablespoons of juice
4 tablespoons of additional virgin vegetable oil
4 garlic cloves, chopped
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
fresh chopped parsley to serve
1.Add the chicken to an outsized ziplock bag with all ingredients except fresh chopped parsley. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 1 hour or overnight.
2.When you're able to bake, preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the chicken within the greased pan and grill until golden brown and cooked through. (Mine takes about quarter-hour because the chicken may be a bit thin). During the last two minutes of cooking, put the oven on top of the Broil. Cook the chicken for 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
3.Remove from oven and let the chicken sit for a couple of minutes before slicing.
4.Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired. Serve chicken in pita or in salad or rice!
