Saucy Greek Baked Shrimp
I prepared this grilled prawns recipe as an easy pan dinner, but if you favor to serve it at the table, simply transfer it to a baking sheet suitable for serving at the table rather than employing a saucepan.
1 pound large peeled and deveined shrimp (I like Key West Pinks)
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped
1 15-ounce can of crushed tomatoes
1/2 teaspoon allspice powder
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/2 cup crushed feta cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
1.Preheat oven to 375°F.
2.Rinse and dry the prawns and put them during a bowl. Season with red pepper flakes and kosher salt and put aside .
3.Pour vegetable oil into an important skillet and warmth over medium heat. Stir within the spices and cook for about 30 seconds. Add tomatoes and simmer, uncovered, for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4.Remove from heat and dip the prawns within the spaghetti sauce and crumble the feta cheese on top. Bake for 15 to 18 minutes or until prawns are cooked through.
5.Sprinkle with dill and serve with crusty bread for dipping during a funky sauce.
