Bacon and Cheese Straws
What are bacon and cheese straws! This easy-to-make puff pastry is formed with bacon, Dijon mustard, and cooked cheddar for a delicious variation on the classic cheese straw. they create great snacks or party snacks. Loved by both adults and youngsters , they're very easy to organize and only take 10 minutes of uptime!!
Plain flour for your table
320 g puff pastry able to use
75 gr cooked cheddar
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
8 slices (strips) of striped bacon
1 beaten egg
1.Lightly grease an outsized baking sheet with a touch oil or line it with parchment paper.
2.Spread the finished puff pastry on a floured surface, sprinkle cheese everywhere the dough and fold it in half.
3.Roll out the dough to about 25 x 40 cm (10 x 16 inches). It should be wide enough to suit 8 slices of bacon side by side and slightly longer than a slice of bacon otherwise (see image above).
4.Roll the dough with the mustard, then roll the bacon in order that the bacon touches but doesn't overlap.
5.Cut between the bacon to urge 8 strips, then twist each strip a couple of times and place on the prepared baking sheet.
6.Chill the twist for a minimum of 20 minutes within the refrigerator.
7.Just before getting to bake cheese straws, preheat your oven to 220C/200C/gas 7/425F.
8.Remove the cheese straws from the refrigerator and brush with the beaten egg.
9.Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the highest is golden brown and cooked through.
10.Eat as soon because it is cool enough to handle.
11.Store uneaten cheese straws in an airtight container within the refrigerator for up to three days. Heat for 10 minutes at 220C/200C/gas 7/425F or until heated through.
