 Italian Drunken Noodles

Bursting with noodles dipped during a savory sauce , chunks of spicy Italian sausage, sweet peppers, onions, and basil, these Italian drunken noodles aren't only delicious, but also quick and straightforward to prepare!


8 ounces pappardelle noodles, raw

Olive oil

4 links spicy Italian sausage, sleeve removed

1 large onion, quartered and thinly sliced

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

teaspoon crushed black pepper

1 red bell pepper

1 yellow bell pepper

1 orange bell pepper

4 cloves of garlic, pressed with a garlic squeezer

blanc blanc cup (I used chardonnay)

1  diced tomatoes, with juice

2 tbsp flat leaf parsley, chopped

cup fresh basil leaves, sliced, use divided


1.Prepare pappardelle noodles consistent with package directions; Then, drain the noodles well and keep them warm while you prepare the sauce.

2.  during a small bowl to carry it for a short time .

3.Then add the chopped onion to the pan with the sausage juice and let it caramelize and switch golden for about 5 minutes, stirring in order that it doesn't burn (add a touch vegetable oil , if necessary); Once the onions start to show golden, add the salt, Italian seasoning, and ground black pepper and stir until combined.

4.Add the sliced bell peppers and allow them to sauté with the onions for about 2 minutes until slightly tender and golden; then add the garlic, and once it becomes aromatic, add the wine and let it simmer for a short time , until it's almost completely reduced.

5.Then add the diced tomatoes with their juices and return the spicy golden Italian sausage to the skillet and gently fold the mixture to mix ; Simmer gently for about 3 to 4 minutes to combine flavors, then close up heat.

6.To finish the sauce, drizzle with about 2-3 tablespoons of fine vegetable oil to make a creamy, rich flavor, and stir within the chopped parsley and about half the chopped basil.

7.Add the cooked pappardelle noodles on to the sauce and, using tongs, gently stir and mix the noodles with the sauce and every one the ingredients it contains; check the seasonings to ascertain if you would like to feature extra salt or pepper.

8.To serve, add equal portions of drunken Italian noodles to a bowl and garnish with a pinch of the remaining basil leaves
